Blogging on the phone!
Wow! It’s great to blog from my Phone. I can share with you my travels and art as I go!
This is a picture I took on a country road on the way home near Ocala, Florida. The trees are beautiful.
Fresh Paint
- Jacksonville Pier, 10′ x 6′ impressionist painting by artist Amy Donladson
Feeling inspired by God’s love, I created these pieces to share with those that want to be touched from Him
Girls bedroom Transformation
Lily was ready for a change to her room. She suggested a few colors and away I went with a custom mural. Adding handmade colorful leaves, I attached them to make the mural come alive. Whites, and a pop of hot pink and fur, brought this dark bedroom to life. It’s retro, fun and unique!
Waves of Summer
The Summer has washed in, walking on the beach I’m excited about all the jewel tones I see in the salty water. This is my latest piece and I love the continuous movement, and mysterious layers that are representative of human nature moving through life.
Pigments with Purpose
Today is a new fresh day. I am ready to dive into my powdery pigments. They are like colorful candy to my eyes. I love to mix new colors on the canvas with my fingers and work the texture layer upon layer, like a cake. Each layer chisels the stress and frustrations of life away from my heart. I think about my family and friends and those who are in difficult times.
I will then finish the piece with energetic bounces of color that dance though the painting representing laughter and joy. With each painting I want to bring life and love to hurting hearts and struggling souls.
Natural Urge.
I experience the world visually. Using layers on the canvas I create depth and texture. Looking at old walls and natural stone I am inspired by the natural earthy colors. Today I worked with my natural pigments and created a unique painting in a square format.
